It's possible to use a simple DP3 menu which sometimes works better for some games. While processing the CDI files the script will ask to enter a display name for every game selected (or just press Enter to use CDI file's name) as well as a cover image to display in selection menu (or use "-silet" flag to skip both inputs)Īll the games will be presented withing DreamOn Collection menu by default with the names and the images picked previously. To create compilation disc launch the script and just pick several CDI files from the dialog using CTRL/Shift buttons. It will ask to pick CDI files to process. Just launch launcher.bat script file under Windows to start the process. This tool was created to automate convertion process as well as to make it easy to crete compilation discs containing several games. In order to be able to create compilation disc initial CDIs must be in Audio-Data format. Also it’s possible to create a compilation disc containing multiple games to preserve CD-R discs. Is this correct? Any clues are welcome. To make Dreamcast read any game from CD-R backup flawlessly it worth to convert CDI file from Audio/Data to Data/Data format. All are in the same folder without subfolders. I got the files for Daytona USA in my demul folder ("\demul\games\Daytona USA v1.004 (2001)(Hasbro - Sega)(NTSC)(US)\") and the files are named "Daytona USA v1.004 (2001)(Hasbro - Sega)(NTSC)(US).gdi", "track01.bin", "track02.raw" and "track03.bin". Is there any special way GDI files should be saved? I'll give an example how the files look on my harddrive. I was just to lazy to dump them myself.) I have no clue what could be the problem. (By the way I do own an original Dreamcast with a great collection of games - just to prevent any bad thoughts towards me downloading games -). Since the goal of TOSEC is to preserve the best possible copies of original games, these sets shouldn't be bad dumps.

I downloaded several files from a TOSEC set.

Additionally I read GDI files can be converted into CHD files and I think this converting process doesn't produce a romset. Actually I don't think CHD files (the ones for Dreamcast!) require additional romsets, since Dreamcast games are just this - a disc.

I think I'll be concentrating on GDI files, since CHD seem even more complicated.
